Army Women’s Tennis Defeats Boston, Wins Second Straight Patriot League Championship

The Black Knights entered the Patriot League Tournament has the three seed with Bucknell being the one seed, and Navy being the two seed.
After a quick 4-0 victory over #6 Lehigh in the quarterfinals, Army had their eyes set on their archrivals, Navy.
After dropping the Doubles points, Army needed to win four of the six singles matches to top the Mids and move on to the finals.
Ana Joyner, Kirby Einck, Stephanine Dolehide, and Paola Bou all won their matches clinching the victory for the Black Knights.
In the Championship, Joyner and Dolehide won their singles matches. Stephanine Dolehide/Caroline Vincent and Hannah Boubel/Sasha Inchauste won their doubles matches. The championship was clinched when Hannah Boubel won a three set nail biter over Boston’s Sabrina Faybyshev.
Boubel’s performance would earn her Patriot League tournament MVP honors.
This is the Black Knights second Patriot League Championship in a row and their 15th NCAA Tournament appearance. They will find out where they will be playing on Monday at 6:30 p.m est.
