The Roadrunners faced Baylor last week and the Bears ran all over them. They racked up 368 rushing yards on 39 carries (9.4 YPC). What made what Baylor did even more impressive was the fact that no one had over 100 yards.
The UTSA offense is led by dual-threat QB Frank Harris. He has 126 rushing yards on the season. Baylor kept Harris’ legs at bay holding him to a mear three yards, but his legs were on display against UIW where he averaged 8.2 YPC and ran for 123 yards.
For UTSA to have any chance in this game they can’t give up 9.4 YPC. Army would put up an insane amount of points if they got that many yards each play. Frank Harris is also going to have to run for more than three yards. He is going to have to use his legs to keep the Army defense honest.

How can the Black Knights respond to heartbreak? Last year that meant going to Buffalo and stomping an undefeated Bulls team 42-13. Army needs a big win, and I don’t mean a win over a really good team, I mean a blow out win. They’ve had two close ones, this is the game where the offense needs to put away the Roadrunners early and win big.
QB Kelvin Hopkins didn’t have the best game of his career against Michigan. He had a bad interception in the red zone and a fumble that lost the game in double OT. This can be his bounce-back game. The Roadrunners defense has shown they can’t effectively stop the run. Look for Hopkins to have a huge game.
Defensively, the Black Knights had trouble getting the Wolverines off of the field on third down, they went 9-16 on third down. Where they shined was stopping Michigan twice on 4th and short and forcing turnovers. Elijah Reily had a beautiful strip-sack and Jaylon McClinton made play after play. The secondary will miss Javhri Bourdeau as they won’t have him for the first half due to the targeting call in the second half last week.

This is a trap game for Army. If they come out sulking over the Michigan loss, they’ll get beat. If they come out with their hair on fire, they should win easily.
Odds are Monken has the team with their hair on fire and they’ll run away from the Roadrunners.
Look for big games from Kelvin Hopkins, Kell Walker, and Elijah Riley.
